After 6 weeks in Greece plus a short stay in Turkey and London I am home.

I always return home longing to travel more. After I realize how much of the world there is to see I only hope to see more of it.

lights, camera, action

Recently I've been on a kick of watching Greece inspired movies to sort of pump me up for my trip. Heres the list
-sisterhood of the traveling pants (what girl doesn't love this movie)
-Mamma Mia!
-for your eyes only (one of my fav james bond movies)

Do you let movies inspire you to travel?Like after watching Harry Potter don't you just want to fly off to London? Or after watching Casino Royale aren't you dying to take a ride on gondola in Venice?
Or do you use them to get excited about an upcoming adventure like my trip to Greece?
...Or is this just some silly thing I do?
How are you inspired to travel?

"Would you tell me , please, which way I ought to go from here"?

Tim Burton's Alice and Wonderland puts a new spin on one of my old favorites. At the heart of this bizarre psychedelic story is something most people can relate too. At the risk of sounding corny– its the journey not the destination– who knows what wonders you'll see along the way

over and out.

la la la

After an exhausting day of finding flights, my trip for this summer is officially booked !

While looking for flights I kept my self calm and centered by googling some eye candy of Greece and Turkey, the above image is of a Grecian Island. No matter how stressful the processes of booking a flight is you have to remind yourself, the juice is worth the squeeze(corny I know.)
For any of you world travelers out there in cyber space, I would suggest using a flight search engine like orbitz to see the different options than going directly through the airline to purchase the tickets. I have heard horror stories from those who have booked through a flight search engine and stand firm about booking through an airline to avoid any difficulties.

My itinerary for the summer includes, Greece, Turkey, and London. Any favorite eateries or shops I should visit? Let me know!

anywhere but here

All I can think about is getting away.

I am feeling nostalgic and thinking about my trip to Italy over the past summer. The picture above is of me and my great friend and travel pal Kristen in Rome.Gelato, prada, pasta and cute vespas (and men) all around me, It doesn't get much better! Life is too short, and there is far too much adventure to be had and world to see to sit around in the comfort of our own precious homes.

Because I've been itching to get away, I decided to do something about it. I applied to my school's study abroad program and will be going to Greece and Turkey this summer. After the program is over I am planning to do some extra traveling. Heres a quote from one of my favorite blogs, life in a venti cup -

If you haven't begun your adventure, 'someday' is today. People avoid travel for a variety of reasons. Fear of language barriers, money, time off, lack of knowledge. Here's a secret: It will never happen (that trek to Nepal, the spa retreat in Malibu, that safari adventure, skiing the French Alps...) if you don't book a ticket and put a plan in motion. Never let fear immobilize you in life. You're the one in the driver's seat. Get out and go. It will change your life in immeasurable ways. See you on the plane!
